Install the Chrome extension
While the Chrome Web Store listing is being prepared, install the extension directly. It takes about a minute:
- Download livedemo-extension.zip and unzip it.
- Open chrome://extensions in Chrome (or Edge, Brave, Arc).
- Turn on Developer mode (top right).
- Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
- Pin LiveDemo from the puzzle-piece menu so the icon stays in your toolbar.
Then sign in to the app. The extension connects to your account automatically; you never type a password into it.
Record your app
Start from the app’s New demo screen, or open your web app, click the LiveDemo icon and press Record. A small toolbar appears on the page. Click through your flow as a visitor would: each click becomes one step.
- Capture this screen saves a step without a click, after a short countdown, so you can open a menu or tooltip first.
- Undo last step, Pause and Stop are on the toolbar. Navigating to other pages keeps recording.
- Turn on Mask all form inputs before recording if fields hold private data. Passwords are always masked.
When you stop, the editor opens and fills in as each step is processed.
Clean up with AI
AI auto-fix blurs emails, phone numbers and other identifiers, replaces real names, companies and amounts with consistent sample ones, writes a caption for each step and suggests a title. Open AI review to see every change as before → after, undo any single one, or undo them all.
Edit the demo
Click any text on the canvas to retype it, and choose whether the change applies to that step or to every step where the same text appears. Select an element to blur or hide it, or draw a blur box. Move the hotspot, edit captions and their position, reorder, duplicate or delete steps, and add intro and closing screens. Every change autosaves; undo and redo are unlimited.
Publish, embed and share
Publish creates a share link and two embed snippets: a simple iframe, and a script that resizes the demo to fit your page. Republishing updates every embed without changing the snippet. Use Preview link to send an unlisted draft for approval.
Leads and analytics
Turn on the lead form and choose the step where it appears. Each lead is emailed to you, can be sent to a webhook, and can be exported as CSV. Analytics show views, unique visitors, completion rate, step drop-off and referring sites.
